Bill Moseley is the Crypt Icon Award Winner for 2011

Crypticon Seattle 2011: Sunday

Bill Moseley got his first film role in Alan Rudolph’s “Endangered Species.” His third role has become one of his most well known; he appeared as Chop Top in Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. His next breakout role was the maniacal Otis B. Driftwood in Rob Zombie’s directorial debut House of 1000 Corpses. In 2005, he reprised the role of Otis in the sequel The Devil’s Rejects. And that is just the start!

The awards was created by William J. Bivens of My Dementia.

2011 Makeup Contest Winner Kenneth Calhoun!

Crypticon Seattle 2011: SaturdayHis creation earned him a Pro MUD case, an internship with Doug Hudson on his next film project, and an award created by William J. Bivens of My Dementia.

Writing Contest 2011 Winners!

Crypticon Seattle 2011: Saturday“Dear Diary” by M.R. Mitchell and R.L. Reeves took the first prize in the annual writing contest! They also won an awesome award created by William J. Bivens.

“Murder Spring” by Clyde Wolfe got second place, followed by “The Ezekiel Strain” by Nicholas Lee Huff in third. Honorable Mentions were: “Awakening” by A. Maire Dinsmore, “There is No Escape” by Clyde Wolfe, and “Calendar Dwellers” by Natalie Wood.

Seattle Thrillers are out to get you!

Crypticon Seattle 2011: Sunday

There’s demons closing in on every side! The Seattle Thrillers performed the zombie dance from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” music video. Each year on Oct. 23, hundreds of zombies get together to break the world record for the largest simultaneous Thriller and raise money for charity. Want to join the fun? Zombie commuters swarmed the Seattle light rail on the opening night of the convention. They even made the “ABC World News!”

Crypticon Seattle 2011: SaturdayJacynda Scott walks through the Hautipede prepared to shoot! She and Stephanie Ratliff won The Hunted by scoring 105 out of the possible 100 points available! They won tickets to the Seattle Film Festival and the Maelstrom International Fantastic Film Festival. Dezirae McKenzie and Dave Mckenzie took second place.
