Welcome to Crypticon Seattle Horror Convention!
June 18th, 19th & 20th - 2010 Holiday Inn, Downtown Everett 3105 Pine Street Everett, WA 98201
1. Manuscripts submitted to The Undead Nation and Crypticon Writing Contest should be the writer’s own work. A writer may need to proofread his/her work. The final work should represent the writer’s ability to meet industry standards for writing.
2. Authors must be at least 18 or older to enter a manuscript.
3. We are looking for horror fiction. Since Crypticon is a horror convention we are not looking for other genres of speculative fiction and we are not looking for works of non-fiction, for essays, or for poetry.
4. All submissions should be between 3,000 and 12,000 words. Anything shorter and anything longer will rejected unread.
5. Please submit stories in .doc or .rtf or pdf files only.
6. Please use a proper manuscript format.
7. All submissions must include current contact information
8. Send all entries to cryptic.reading.room.subs@gmail.com
9. Must be able to attend Crypticon 2010.
Winner will receive:
1. VIP pass to Crypticon 2010
2. Inclusion of your story in the upcoming Undead Nation/Zilyon anthology.
3. Signed copies of Voyer Dead by Alan Gandy, Het Madden, A Zombie Perspective by Calvin A.L. Miller, and Night Terrors which features a short story by Jenna M. Pitman
4. A prize pack from Strange Aeons magazine.
5. A t-shirt from each year of Crypticon.
Contest begins May 12th and runs through June 3rd
Finalists and runners up will be announced June 8th
2 finalists will be selected to read before a panel of celebrity judges and an audience. Both finalists will receive a VIP pass to the convention and Crypticon tshirts.
There will be 3 runner ups who will each be given a weekend pass to Crypticon and Crypticon tshirts.
